We've had a ton of fun creating a new website for Cula! This time, we immersed ourselves in a 3D world we created to explain how Cula's platform collects data from carbon removal processes and converts them into carbon credit certificates.
The web experience sets the brand apart from competitors through visual storytelling, using a giant interactive 3D animated map to illustrate Cula’s carbon removal approach.
- 3D World: To provide a continuous experience through the entire biochar technology process, we created a comprehensive 3D world depicting each step, with a camera moving through each
- ThreeJS: The world, initially created in C4D, was integrated with ThreeJS and animated with GSAP. Our primary challenge was to maintain smooth textures and shadows while optimizing performance.
- UI: To link the biochar process with the Cula Data Engine's functionality, we designed a UI in Webflow that visually explains data collection, enhanced by subtle animations and color coding.
